Selectman Norman Brown told the board he had asked Chris and Liz Milligan to investigate whether the Town of Jefferson could operate its own ambulance service after citing increased costs in a proposed contract with the Town of Lancaster.
Liz Milligan and Chris (referenced as assisting Liz) will present the results of their preliminary work at the next Select Board meeting, the board said. Select Board Chair Terri Larcomb and Selectman Kevin Meehan said they look forward to that presentation; no timeline, budget estimate or formal motion to change service providers was recorded in the minutes.
