Jefferson Select Board approves minutes, payroll, permits and declines Tac Stick for emergency responders

Tac Stick advisory and policy choice: Administrative Assistant Amanda Simino presented a response from Matt Kohler at Eversource stating that Eversource will not supply a Tac Stick to the town and does not recommend its use by emergency personnel. The Select Board concluded the device would pose too much liability and decided the Fire Department should not purchase one.
Nonpublic session and adjournment: The board entered nonpublic session at 8:37 p.m. under RSA 91-A:3, II(a); it returned to public session at 8:54 p.m. and voted to seal the nonpublic minutes on the grounds that disclosure would likely affect the reputation of a person other than a board member. The meeting adjourned at 8:57 p.m. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 12, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
