At its July 15 meeting the Town of Jefferson Select Board handled several routine and administrative items, approving minutes, payroll and accounts payable and signing off on a range of permits and vendor work.
Selectman Norman Brown moved to approve meeting minutes from July 1, 2024, payroll for July 1, 8 and 15, 2024, and accounts payable for July 2, 8, 9 and 15, 2024; Select Board Chair Terri Larcomb seconded the motions and each carried unanimously.
The board reviewed a Certificate of Completion for the town solar array so Eversource could finish the interconnect. The board also signed a USDA request granting permission for USDA staff to trap animals on town property to distribute oral rabies vaccine baits and tag animals for research, after Amanda Simino presented the request.
On permits and vendor approvals, the board:
- Approved a building permit for Mitch and Gracie Ingerson to construct a 12-by-24-foot porch/deck with roof at 36 Alderbrook Road. - Approved a building permit for Marc and Dawn Miller to construct a 9-by-15-foot porch at 201 Meadows Road. - Approved a Royal Electric quote to install/repair door locks and change hinge screws at the Transfer Station for $943. - Signed a cemetery deed for Kevin Desautels.
Motions on these items were made by Norman Brown and seconded by Terri Larcomb; the meeting minutes record unanimous approval. The board also reviewed a response letter from Tri-County CAP and instructed staff to draft a letter regarding an unpermitted driveway on Sunset Paradise after confirming no permit was on file.
The meeting adjourned at 8:22 p.m. The next Select Board meeting is scheduled for July 29, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
