LBWID reviews FY2025 financials, postpones training dates and awaits LBA input on garden proposal

At the LBWID planning meeting trustees reviewed administrative items including financial reporting, audit status, training and community proposals.
Staff presented the FY2025 July–August income and expense statement and told trustees that the FY2024 audit has not progressed substantially. The Operations Director said a meeting with all LBWID staff is needed to review the Dam Monitoring and Response Standard Operating Policy and that a separate date should be set for Emergency Action Plan (EAP) training for staff and trustees.
Trustees also discussed a proposal to remove invasive plants at the Community Garden; the proposal was solicited by a subgroup of the Lake Barcroft Association Environmental Committee and trustees said they are waiting for the LBA's specific concerns before moving forward. The meeting closed with reminders about newsletter deadlines: LBWID internal deadline on the 10th and the public LB newsletter deadline on the 15th of each month, with suggested topics for upcoming issues.
The meeting recorded no formal votes on financial approvals, audits, training or the garden proposal.
