Williston board approves lot-mowing assessments, notes $250 administrative fee

Kara Robinson, Code Enforcement Officer, explained that a $250 administrative fee applies for lot mowing enforcement; if a property owner does not pay the fee, the city hires a third-party contractor to mow and the fee is assessed to the property.
A motion to approve the lot mowing and code compliance assessments was made by Jory Meyer and seconded by Mark Barstad. The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The approval authorizes assessment of administrative fees and contractor costs to properties that fail to comply with mowing notices; the transcript did not list an estimated total number of properties to be assessed or an aggregate cost.
