Williston board approves Appletop drainage improvements near Lewis and Clark School

The changes are intended to send stormwater west rather than allowing it to continue south toward 11th Street, he said, and have alleviated flooding that affected several residences and the Lewis and Clark School property.
The engineer reported the final assessment was "slightly higher than the estimate" but did not state a dollar amount. Board member Jory Meyer moved to approve the assessment; Mark Barstad seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The measure clears the assessment for billing and any follow-up notifications to affected property owners. No objections to the assessment were reported during the hearing.
