LBWID completes fall dredging on Holmes Run; 236 loads of spoils hauled

Staff said the district repaired a mini-excavator that had been leaking hydraulic fluid and completed trucking and disposal of the dried dredge spoils, reporting 86 loads from Beach 5 and 150 loads from Beach 3 for a total of 236 loads. The director noted that total is comparable to recent years, where the multi-year average ranged from about 215 to 250 loads.
District staff also described routine maintenance work at the LBWID office, including HVAC repairs, LED lighting upgrades and creation of additional workspace, and detailed assistance provided to the Lake Barcroft Association: replacing rotting boards on the Community Garden footbridge, removing vines at the Community Garden, and addressing vandalized lifeguard stands (staff plan to anchor or chain down stands that have been toppled at several beaches).
No formal motions or votes were recorded; trustees received the operations update.
