Hillsborough County allocates more than $70 million in disaster-recovery funds for storm repairs and resilience

County communications said much of the remaining federal grant money will go toward programs that help homeowners whose homes were damaged by storms. The county noted these actions support longer-term storm resilience and recovery efforts.
Katie said the Rebuilding for Tomorrow program is covered under a $709,000,000 federal disaster recovery grant awarded to Hillsborough County after major storm damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton.
