The Baboquivari Unified School District #40 governing board met in a special session on Aug. 16, 2024. The board approved the meeting agenda and the consent agenda, took up an informational item naming the district’s Special Olympics delegation, and then adjourned.
Chair called the meeting to order and introduced a motion to approve the special meeting agenda for Aug. 16, 2024 "without objection." A second was recorded; the Clerk conducted the roll call and reported a quorum was present. The Clerk later reported four affirmative votes, and the motion to approve the agenda carried.
The Chair presented an information item naming Mark Marcos as "Special Olympics, head of delegation for BUSD," and Kenneth Wilson as "Special Olympics assistant coach," saying the item was for the record. No board members asked questions about the delegation or offered comment during the information item.
The board then considered the consent agenda. The Chair moved approval of the consent agenda "without objection," a second was noted, and the Clerk again reported the consent agenda was approved with four affirmative votes.
A final motion to adjourn was made and seconded; the Clerk called for the ayes and the meeting ended. The record does not identify individual members who moved or seconded the recorded motions in the transcript, and the minutes as provided list only an aggregate affirmative count for votes recorded ('I have 4').
