At its March 17 meeting the Francestown Planning Board reappointed its 2026 officers, voted to post two alternate member openings (terms expiring 2028 and 2029), announced availability of the Conservation Plan Natural Resources Inventory, and scheduled a Master Plan forum for May 16.
The Francestown Planning Board reappointed its officers for 2026 on March 17, retaining Gerri Bernstein as chair, Greg Neilley as secretary and Sarah Pyle as vice chair after a motion by Robert Lindgren and second by Scot Heath passed.
The Board voted on a motion by Sarah Pyle, seconded by Betsy Hardwick, to post two openings for alternate members with terms expiring in 2028 and 2029. The motion passed unanimously.
Under other business the Board reviewed an email from Linda Kunhardt concerning whether full text posting of zoning amendment language is required; the Board did not rule that full-text posting is required and agreed to revisit the posting practice next year and to consider forwarding the question to the Select Board for clarification. Betsy Hardwick announced that the updated Conservation Plan Natural Resources Inventory is available on the town website, and Sarah Pyle reminded the Board that a Master Plan forum is scheduled for Saturday, May 16.
Robert Lindgren requested an update on units at Torey Pines Road related to a prior consultation about full-time apartment rentals; the Board agreed to place that item on the April 21 agenda as a non-public session matter. Greg Neilley raised a records management question about maintaining paper versus electronic files and the Board expressed a preference to continue keeping paper copies of Notices of Decision.
The Board set its next planned meeting for Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
