Board members of Riverland Energy Cooperative and city representatives Thomas Brakke and Ben Schams of the Alma Volunteer Fire Department attended, along with Deputy Clerk Sharaya Reed and Pattilyn Champeny. "[I] thank all those involved from Riverland Energy Cooperative who made this become a reality for the City of Alma," Mayor Richard Champeny said, expressing appreciation to cooperative board members and staff for completing the transaction. After the signing, Council member Gary Jepsen moved to adjourn; Council member David Earney seconded the motion. All five members present ' Mayor Richard Champeny, Davie Meier, Loren Mueller, Gary Jepsen and David Earney ' voted yes. Absent were Larry Grisen, Randy Brommer and Perry Iberg.
The meeting was convened at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverland Energy property and concluded with an invitation from the mayor to join cookies and refreshments following the closing. No further actions, debates, or votes on ordinances, contracts, or funding were recorded in the transcript of the session.
