First summer concert set for May 16; commission suggests Hispanic band and partnership with St. Ann

Overland City’s Parks & Recreation Commission discussed the summer concert and bingo seasons and heard that the first concert will feature the St. Louis Civic Orchestra on Saturday, May 16, following the Community Parade.
Commissioners suggested programming that would broaden cultural representation in the series, including the idea of featuring a Hispanic band. They also proposed exploring a partnership with the City of St. Ann to host two bands in a single evening. Parks & Recreation Director Erin Willey said she will share these suggestions with the Summer Events Committee chairman.
