The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the countyEqualization report at a public hearing Thursday afternoon.
Equalization Director Dulcee Ranta presented the annual Equalization report and asked the board to approve it as presented. Commissioner John Kling moved to approve the report and Commissioner Daryl Schroeder seconded; the roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Commissioners Austin Kimberling, John Kling, Mike Patrick, Daryl Schroeder and Judy St. Louis-Scott. No commissioners voted against the motion.
The approval came during a short public hearing that began at 4:00 p.m. in the Annex Boardroom at 100 S. Marley Street, St. Ignace. County Clerk Hillary Vowell recorded the roll call at the start of the meeting. The board approved the meeting agenda at the outset after a motion by Commissioner Austin Kimberling and a second from Commissioner John Kling.
There were no public comments recorded before or after the Equalization report presentation. The board adjourned the hearing at 4:15 p.m. following a motion by Commissioner Austin Kimberling and a second by Commissioner Daryl Schroeder.
