Mackinac County board approves payroll, manual and additional bills totaling more than $543,000

The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners approved three sets of bills at its June 12 meeting: regular bills totaling $67,661.66, manual bills of $272,037.22, and additional bills of $203,784.61.
Each set was presented for approval in turn and was approved on a roll-call vote moved by Commissioner Austin Kimberling and seconded by Commissioner John Kling; the roll calls recorded YES from Commissioners Kimberling, Kling, Schroeder and St. Louis-Scott, with Commissioner Mike Patrick absent. The minutes note the bills were attached to the record.
Separately, the board approved a long-planned $1,800 longevity payout to the widow of Mike Kaspers; Clerk Hillary Vowell said the payout was budgeted for 2025. That motion passed unanimously among present commissioners.
The board also adjourned the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
