Sanbornton selectmen approve $2,210 transfer to letter ambulance utility vehicle as fiscal year closes

The Sanbornton Board of Selectmen on June 23 approved a $2,210 transfer from the Ambulance Revenue Fund to the general fund to cover lettering for the town’s Utility 1 ambulance vehicle.
Town Administrator Trish Stafford told the board the town is closing out the fiscal year and that Selectboard stipends had been charged to the Election line; she said that will be corrected in future accounting. Stafford also reported the Highway Department is expected to exceed its retirement line because of overtime and wage increases granted earlier in the year.
Selectman Brandon Deacon said the remaining balance with one week left in the fiscal year would be close to zero. The board discussed preparing contracts to encumber leftover funds for the Plan-It software and poll pads but decided to hold off this week.
Selectman Mark Brown noted a $140,000 Highway Block grant intended for road projects still appears in the town’s accounts. Selectman Ralph Carter said the Highway Department director is out of the office this week but needs to provide an invoice from GMI so part of the project can be paid with the grant this fiscal year.
On the single formal action of the meeting, Selectman Mark Brown moved to transfer $2,210 from the Ambulance Revenue Fund to General Fund 4220.660 for vehicle maintenance and repair to pay for lettering on Utility 1. Selectman Ralph Carter seconded the motion, and the board approved it unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 5:08 p.m.
