Council approved Payout #3 to Queen City in the amount of $70,526.44 for work already reviewed and recommended for payment.
On sewer maintenance procurement, the city opened bids for sewer-line cleaning in Areas 5 and 6 and received a single bid from TeleVac in the amount of $88,373.50 (unit prices and linear feet were presented). Council voted to reject the single bid and rebid the project to seek competition.
Council handled water-plant salt procurement by postponing award and directing staff to re-solicit because Compass Mineral — a regular supplier — had not been contacted; staff asked to reopen the procurement next month so all usual vendors can bid.
The council approved Smith Corp Change Order #1 for $3,363.18 to reroute a storm sewer section around a 12-inch water main; the change order included no additional contract days. The council also approved allowing a domestic-only connection to Greendale water for a facility represented by Kendall Bales of Maxwell Construction (Haviland/Avalon), limited to no larger than a 3-inch domestic service and expressly excluding fire-protection service unless separate modeling and approvals occur.
