Baldwin board swears in trustees, installs Pamela Green as president

Pamela Green was declared elected and sworn in and the board moved to install her as president at the Baldwin Union Free School District reorganization meeting on July 8, 2026. The board read the 05/19/2026 election results: Pamela Green, 718 votes; Katrina Smith, 588 votes. Pamela Green’s full three-year term runs 07/01/2026–06/30/2029; Katrina Smith was declared elected to an unexpired term effective 05/19/2026 through 06/30/2027.

The district clerk administered oaths to the newly elected trustees. The board then voted to appoint Pamela Green as board president and to name a vice president; the motion to appoint the vice president carried by voice vote. The transcript contains inconsistent renderings of the vice president’s name (appearing as both “Susan Kulz” and later as “Miss Gould”); the board recorded the appointment in its motion and swore the vice president in during the meeting.

The board also introduced and later swore the student ex officio representative. During her remarks she identified herself as Bonnie Green and said she is an incoming junior in the media academy and intends to serve as a communications bridge between students, administration and the community.

Beyond officer appointments, the board approved and assigned trustees to liaison roles for committees and external organizations and confirmed administrative appointments and designations (legal counsel, auditors, records/access officers, health and safety officers) for the 2026–27 school year. Most motions passed by voice vote with no recorded roll-call tallies.
