The Kenowa Hills Board of Education approved the consent agenda at its Committee of the Whole meeting on Sept. 11 following a motion by Courtade and a second by Turner. The minutes record the outcome as a unanimous approval (motion recorded as passing 7-0).
The consent agenda included the Aug. 28 regular meeting minutes and a series of fund expenditures: Aug. general fund expenditures of $3,007,361.76 (checks #80991'#81123 and payrolls of Aug. 11 and 25, 2023); Aug. school lunch fund expenditures of $4,096.28 (checks #11023'#11025); 2018 Building and Site Series expenditures of $10,050.00 (check #15362); 2020 Building and Site Series expenditures of $1,266,259.79 (checks #1'#8); and activity check register expenditures of $1,695.62 (checks #96979'#96980).
Separately, administration recommended purchasing two mini vans for district administration; that purchase will be presented as an action item at the upcoming regular board meeting. The minutes do not record a final decision on the van purchase at this work session.
The board also approved the consent agenda motion to adopt the listed personnel and financial reports; no public comment was received on these items.
