At the Dec. 18 meeting, Kenowa Hills Middle School showcased its hands-on, project-oriented STEM program in the board's Middle School Spotlight.
Middle school teacher Joanna Haines and four eighth-grade students described recent projects that emphasize experiential learning and student engagement in science, technology, engineering and math. Principal Zach Christian opened the segment by noting a Toys for Tots-related news item as part of the school's holiday activities.
