TECUMSEH, Neb. — The Tecumseh City Council met April 21 in the Utilities Conference Room and approved three routine items during a meeting that opened at 5:01 p.m.
Mayor Jesse Grof read a statement confirming that a current copy of the Open Meeting Act was available to the public before the council moved to new business.
Council Member Tyler Speckmann moved and Council Member Lorie Topp seconded a resolution authorizing the city to execute an agreement with the Nebraska Department of Transportation for the installation and operation of automated license plate readers on a state highway. The motion carried with Council Members Lance Beethe, Brian Britt, Travis Goracke, Tyler Speckmann and Lorie Topp voting aye; Council Member Alcia Brommer was recorded as absent.
Council Member Lance Beethe moved and Council Member Travis Goracke seconded approval of an agreement with SENDD for administrative assistance related to the Community Center Financing Fund (CCCF) grant. The agreement, for $2,500, was approved by the same five members present; Brommer was absent.
Later the council approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes of the April 7, 2025 meeting and payment of city bills. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Council Member Lorie Topp and seconded by Council Member Lance Beethe; the vote was recorded as unanimous among members present.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:02 p.m. and the minutes were signed by City Clerk Janelle Moran and Mayor Jesse Grof.
