Kenowa Hills board hears bond construction update; Phase 2 athletic bids set for Aug. 25

At its Aug. 11 Committee of the Whole workshop, the Kenowa Hills Board of Education heard a bond-construction update presented as the Superintendent’s report. Superintendent Hopkins reported that the final phase of work at the Middle School is expected to be completed before the start of the school year and that Phase 1 of athletic construction under the 2024 bond is on schedule for the spring athletic season.
Hopkins said bid-award recommendations for Phase 2 of the athletic construction will be brought to the Board for action at the Aug. 25 regular meeting and that a tentative schedule for Phase 2 construction was reviewed with the board. No formal bid awards or contract approvals were taken at the Aug. 11 workshop; the Aug. 25 meeting was identified as the next opportunity for Board action on Phase 2.
