Sheboygan County extension committee hears staffing and reporting update; approves minutes and vouchers

Area Extension Director Jayna Hintz updated the committee on Extension staffing and introduced a new one-page semiannual program update intended to summarize Extension activities and outreach. Regional Crops Educator Liz Gartman reported on current programming, and Manuel Pena, introduced in the meeting as the Bilingual Regional Dairy Educator, gave an overview of the dairy-focused and bilingual outreach work he is developing.
The committee handled routine business, including approving the February 25, 2025 minutes after a motion from Supervisor Stan Lammers seconded by Supervisor John Nelson. Later the committee approved vouchers on a motion from Supervisor Lammers, seconded by Supervisor John Nelson. Supervisor John Nelson moved to adjourn at 4:17 PM; Travis Luedke seconded and the motion carried. The committee set its Planning & Conservation-focused meeting for April 8, 2025 at 3:30 PM and its UW Extension-focused meeting for April 22, 2025 at 3:30 PM.
The meeting record lists Tammy Zorn as Recording Secretary and Supervisor John Nelson as Committee Secretary. No correspondence, travel reports, or attendance requests for other meetings were recorded during this session.
