Commissioner Dave Lewis updated the Commission Nov. 13 on the Wastewater Facility Blower Replacement Project, reporting that two new Inovair blowers are set in place at the plant. Fabrication of the air intakes and exhaust manifolds will occur on site because of logistical concerns raised by contractor R.H. White.
Tentatively on Dec. 2 the remaining original blower will be shut down so the final new blower can be installed, and an Inovair representative is expected on site Dec. 10 to assist with final commissioning steps.
Why it matters: the blower replacement is a capital maintenance project required for proper operation of wastewater treatment processes; the installation schedule affects plant operations and contractor logistics.
