Planning Board approves digital sign for E & E Septic with daily-change limit

The Epping Planning Board on June 11 approved an amended site plan and sign application permitting a digital sign for E & E Septic at 371 Calef Highway under conditions meant to limit its visual impact.
Dan Marston, owner of E & E Septic, asked the board for permission to use the digital display. Alternate Mike Fecteau said Marston had submitted a sign permit showing a digital sign and had purchased the sign before the town’s March zoning change. Fecteau told the board the display would change only once per day and noted the property is on Route 125, which is zoned commercial.
Chairman Mike Sudak opened a public hearing; no members of the public offered comment. The board approved a waiver under section 29 related to the application and then approved the sign subject to three conditions: the display may change only once per day, it must not scroll, and illumination must conform to existing town regulations. Both votes carried unanimously.
The board’s approval allows the sign to be used under those conditions; the decision record and any attached conditions will be kept with the project file at town hall.
