She also said staff met with tribal veteran services and HUD‑VASH representatives to coordinate homeless‑veteran resources.
A committee member asked whether the retroactive payments benefit the office; Nicole clarified that the money goes directly to veterans and not to the veterans service office.
The committee did not vote on these items. The veterans service office indicated ongoing outreach and training will continue, and the committee thanked staff for the work.
