Council approves two Vinita Fire promotions effective July 1

Shortly afterward, the council considered Item 21, a motion to promote Todd Hess to fire captain. The same committee member moved the promotion and, at the council's request, members set the promotion effective July 1. The motion passed with no recorded opposition.
The promotions were presented as personnel items previously discussed in executive session; the chair read a statement saying two items (agenda items 16 and 17) concerning Lieutenants Chad Wills and Todd Hess had been discussed during executive session and that no votes occurred there. The council then took formal action in open session to authorize the promotions.
