Hillsborough seeks quotes for cloud-based meter-reading system for 2026 budget

Administrator Penny Griffin told the Water & Sewer Commission on Dec. 11 that Ti-Sales representatives presented a proposal to replace Hillsborough’s obsolete meter-reading hardware with a cloud-based, app-driven system and will submit quotes for consideration in the 2026 budget.
Griffin said she, Cody Boisvert and Alex Mellen met with Ti-Sales earlier that day. The Commission discussed device options, including running the app on personal phones or on existing HWSC tablets. Griffin noted the tablets could be used but would require a wireless connection; she also said she would investigate costs and availability of enabling FordPass Wi‑Fi in the F‑150 and F‑350 trucks as a possible connectivity option.
Ti-Sales is expected to provide written quotes that the Commission will review as part of the 2026 budget process. The Commission did not make a purchase decision at the meeting.
