At its May 6 meeting the Wolfeboro Select Board approved several operational items and votes summarized below.
Accepted dock donation(s): The board accepted unanticipated donations from Watermark Marine and the Abenaki Water Ski Club to replace a town-owned dock in Back Bay (gift in kind, $9,500 value) and to cover permitting and decking improvements (approximately $3,000). The applicant (Bob Shylen, Abenaki Water Ski Club) explained the existing dock was installed in 1998 and the donors offered a like-for-like replacement. The board voted to accept the donated work and permitting cost contributions.
Vessel landing and commercial landing permits: Colin Frucci (self-identified) applied for commercial landing permits for Wake Winnie/Wake Winnie Watersports LLC for several vessels. The board approved the permits with conditions: hull ID (HIN) numbers must be submitted to Town staff and use is limited to Dock 1. Approval was unanimous.
Bailey's Bubble parking request: The Select Board approved a request to cordon off three curbside spaces in front of Bailey's Bubble (5 Railroad Ave.) from 05:30 until closing for the spring/summer/fall season to protect queuing customers and pedestrian safety. Police and staff raised no objection.
Water restrictions: Public Works recommended continuing a temporary water-supply shortage restriction prohibiting all outdoor water use (restriction level D) because pond levels remain unusually low. The board approved continuing the prohibition; Public Works will continue monitoring and provide updates.
Other routine approvals: The board adopted bulk manifest approvals (regular warrants, property tax credits/abatements), renewed the GoodHue & Hawkins boat agent agreement for registrations, and approved a standard Fourth of July parking ban consistent with prior years.
The board moved into nonpublic session under RSA 91-A at the end of the meeting.
