Student representatives from Toms River High School East, North and South gave monthly reports highlighting freshman orientation, club and spirit activities, athletics results and upcoming events.
Mikayla Milanek (Toms River High School East) described a districtwide beautification day, freshman orientation activities, an activity period planned for Sept. 25 and fundraising and community partnerships including a donation from Rita's Italian Ices. Alessio Lobello (High School North) recapped Senior Sunrise, a new '1st Mates' club, theater auditions and sports updates. Makayla Manzi (High School South) celebrated spirit Fridays, senior recognitions and recent team wins.
The board also used the meeting to present community awards: Christian Coronado of Coronado's Kitchen was thanked for paying off student lunch account balances, and Principal Keller introduced freshman Justin Cruz Benoit, who earned the Eagle Scout rank after a service project at the American Legion. The superintendent and board praised volunteers and fundraising efforts connected to the FAIR Funding event.
