TIDD board moves into executive session on property and litigation; no action taken

Board Member Frimm moved and Board Member Rockey seconded a motion on Oct. 20, 2025, for the Board of Directors of the Village of Taos Ski Valley Tax Incremental Development District to move into an executive (closed) session under exemptions in the New Mexico Open Meetings Act for: discussions of the purchase, acquisition or disposal of real property or water rights (NMSA 1978, 10-15-1(H)(8)) and attorney-client privileged matters pertaining to threatened or pending litigation (NMSA 1978, 10-15-1(H)(7)). The motion passed 4-0.
The minutes state that no decisions were made and no action was taken during the executive session. Board Chair Thomas P. Wittman later announced there will be an election in November 2025 for two board members and that there will be at least one new board member following that election. The board recorded the next scheduled TIDD meeting for Jan. 19 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom (the minutes show 2025, which appears to be a clerical error given the Oct. 20, 2025 meeting date).
After resuming open session the board moved to adjourn; the adjournment motion passed 4-0 and Board Chair Thomas P. Wittman closed the meeting.
