Thomasville accepted into North Carolina Main Street program

Mayor Raleigh York, Jr., council members and members of the PACE group gathered for a commemorative photo after the presentation. City staff did not announce specific local projects or funding tied to the designation during the briefing; the designation itself signals eligibility to participate in statewide Main Street resources and networks.
Next steps identified at the briefing included local outreach and coordination with Main Street staff; formal local project proposals and funding plans were not presented at the July 14 briefing and will require follow up at upcoming meetings.
