Staff recorded payment applications totaling $533,502.42 and the board approved DPW and Fire Station 70 change orders ($5,446.40 and $19,337.95, respectively).
Staff also presented an ordinance (V‑26‑03) to update Chapter 103 of the land‑development code so the village can serve as a delegated inspection agency; staff said the changes replace outdated state references and align the code with current state requirements. "This is the most immediate need at this point to comply with state requirements to be able to become a licensed inspection agency," a staff presenter said.
The board approved a resolution (B‑2026‑01) supporting continued state funding for the Knowles‑Nelson stewardship program after staff noted a legislative effort to reduce or eliminate the program; the packet cited a recent grant of $160,000 that benefited local trail and road projects.
On finance and purchases, trustees approved applications for nine payments totaling $533,502.42, authorized multiple utility and streetlight installations, and approved the purchase of a Polaris Ranger and a custom trailer for Fire Rescue (amounts recorded in the packet and motion). The board also approved a settlement agreement with the City of Menasha related to 2019 fire protection fees; staff said the outstanding amount at issue is $72,749 and that Menasha’s council is expected to act on their end.
