One motion explicitly authorized the Mount Washington and the Winnipesaukee Spirit to receive 2026 landing permits under the 2025 fee structure.
Mount Washington’s representative offered cooperation on operational details such as dock hands and parking coordination and said the company had no objection to conversations about shared maintenance responsibilities. Town staff flagged that, under the draft ordinance, Mount Washington’s expanded schedule would generate a landing fee slightly higher than earlier proposals, but the board concluded maintaining 2025 fees for 2026 minimized immediate disruption to tour operators and preserved local business relationships.
The board signaled it will continue negotiating details and encouraged operators to refile corrected permit forms if needed. Any future ordinance amendments will follow required public‑hearing steps and be scheduled for a future effective date.
