Fallbrook Union High trustees approve policy revisions, amend 2026–27 calendar and pass consent agenda

The Fallbrook Union High School District Board of Trustees on July 8 approved a package of revised board policies, amended its meeting calendar for the 2026–27 school year and passed the consent agenda in a series of unanimous votes among members present.
District staff told the board the proposed policy and regulation changes are intended to keep the district compliant and said the revisions follow California School Boards Association (CSBA) suggested language and numbering. "The revisions are in alignment with CSBA suggested language and numbering system," a district staff member said, and noted deletions would be shown as scribe-through and additions in green for clarity.
Trustee Haskell moved the motion to approve the revised and deleted board policies, administrative regulations, exhibits and bylaws on second reading. "I move that the board approve in the 2nd reading the revised new and deleted board policies, administrative regulations, exhibits, and bylaws as presented," Trustee Haskell said. Trustee Jones seconded the motion. The clerk recorded votes of Trustees Haskell, Jones and Rodarte as aye; Trustee Christiansen was noted as not present.
Later in the meeting Trustee Rodarte moved to amend the board meeting calendar for the 2026–27 school year as presented; Trustee Haskell seconded. The motion carried with Trustees Haskell, Jones and Rodarte voting aye. The clerk explained that consent-agenda items are considered routine and are enacted with one action unless a member requests an item be removed; Trustee Haskell moved, and Trustee Jones seconded, approval of the consent agenda, which passed with the same recorded ayes.
No organizational matters were raised. The clerk announced the board's next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. in the Fallbrook Union High School Library. The clerk recorded that the July 8 meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m. by Oscar Caralampio.
