The Mackinac County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the county's annual equalization report during a public hearing on Thursday, April 10, 2025, following a presentation by Equalization Director Dulcee Ranta.
Chair Mike Patrick called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in the Annex Boardroom at 100 S. Marley Street in St. Ignace and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The clerk recorded roll call: Commissioners Austin Kimberling, John Kling, Mike Patrick, Daryl Schroeder and Judy St. Louis-Scott were present.
Commissioner Austin Kimberling moved to approve the agenda "as presented," Commissioner John Kling seconded, and the motion carried by voice vote.
During the public hearing, Equalization Director Dulcee Ranta presented the annual Equalization report and supporting materials (the report was noted as attached to the record). Commissioner John Kling moved to approve the Equalization report "as presented" and Commissioner Daryl Schroeder seconded. A roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval: Commissioners Kimberling, Kling, Patrick, Schroeder and St. Louis-Scott voted yes.
There were no public comments during the hearing. Commissioner Austin Kimberling moved to adjourn the public hearing, Commissioner Daryl Schroeder seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 4:15 p.m. Hillary Vowell, County Clerk, completed the minutes.
