Fulton County to replace 20-year-old dispatch clocks, approves regional 2026 support contract

Fulton County commissioners approved hardware and support updates for the county emergency dispatch center at their Dec. 23 meeting, citing aging equipment and ongoing training needs.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board that the dispatch clocks are more than two decades old and recommended replacement; he also reported trainings completed and upcoming and said "Pre Alert" has been put in place and communicated to local fire departments. The board approved a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks in the amount of $4,940.00, including hardware and installation.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; Barton and the board noted the contract will be fully grant funded. Both the clock purchase and the regional support contract were recorded as carried "All in favor."
