County board freezes Veterans Committee funding unless bylaws, job descriptions submitted

Public commenter Dave Coven told the board he was "very frustrated with the things that are happening on the Veterans Committee," blamed the board for allowing the relationship with the committee to deteriorate, and urged the board to "get this under control."
The motion to freeze funds carried on a unanimous roll-call vote (Kimberling, Kling, Patrick, Schroeder, St. Louis-Scott voting yes). The board did not provide details in open session about the legal opinion it reviewed or the specific financial amount being frozen. Commissioners said they expect the Veterans Committee to submit the requested materials by the deadline or risk continued suspension of funding.
