The board approved the $25,000 allocation in a unanimous roll-call vote (Commissioners Kimberling, Kling, Patrick, Schroeder and St. Louis-Scott voting yes). The board did not specify an exact reimbursement timeline or list of eligible expenses; Kasper said reimbursement paperwork will begin but gave no date for completion.
The action creates a county-controlled line item for immediate cleanup expenses while staff pursue external reimbursement. The county may return to the board with additional requests if recoverable costs exceed the initial allocation.
