Kenowa Hills board approves $1.3 million in expenditures, names May 7 Staff Appreciation Day

President LaBotz and the Kenowa Hills Board of Education approved the consent agenda at their April 15 meeting, accepting routine minutes, multiple fund expenditures and a resolution designating Staff Appreciation Day.
The consent agenda, moved by Member Hart and supported by Member Courtade, included March 2024 General Fund expenditures of $967,579.17 (checks 82198–82355); School Lunch Fund expenditures of $52,961.47 (checks 11114–11127); 2018 Series II Debt Fund expenditures of $500 (check #1); 2022 Building and Site Series expenditures of $285,364.34 (checks 28–31); and student activity expenditures of $15,418.11 (checks 97128–97154). The board recorded the motion as carried 6-0.
Also on the consent agenda was a Staff Appreciation Day resolution that states the board will name Tuesday, May 7, 2024 as a day for citizens to recognize Kenowa Hills employees for their service to students and the community. The resolution was presented in full on the meeting agenda and approved as part of the consent package.
No separate discussion or amendment of the expenditures or the resolution was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board took no additional formal action beyond the recorded approval; next regular board business is scheduled at the Administration Building on June 24, 2024.
