Francestown Select Board to ask State Board to certify withdrawal, appoint temporary school committee
Summary

At the March 23 meeting Town Administrator Jamie A. Pike told the Select Board that under RSA 195:29 the town may select a temporary school board if it withdraws from the district. Current School Committee members David Stahlin, Laura Mafera and Patrick Troy volunteered to serve as the interim school committee.
Mr. Pike said he had drafted a letter requesting the State Board certify Francestown’s withdrawal from the district and appoint the temporary school committee. The Select Board voted to submit the letter as drafted and directed that School Attorney Robert Best be included in the submission. Select Board member Charles M. Pyle III moved to submit the letter with the attorney included and Select Board member Scot D. Heath seconded; the motion passed.
