ABC board reports near‑complete warehouse; Accenture amendment would add hours and cost to ERP–WMS integration

Curtis Stewart, administrator of the Alabama ABC board, briefed the committee that the board’s new office building is about 98% complete and that the elevator has passed inspection. Stewart said punch‑list items remain (an ADA ramp for a server room, acoustic work and some countertops) but are not expected to delay occupancy; staff expect a certificate of occupancy by July 20. He said warehouse racking and material‑handling equipment are largely installed but the automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS) manufacture was delayed in Belgium; the ASRS is now expected by the end of the calendar year with full testing and operation by March 2027.
Stewart said the equipment is leased as a single unit and payments will not begin until the system is accepted as a whole, meaning fiscal‑year 2027 lease costs will reflect only a partial year. He confirmed a target go‑live date of Sept. 14 for operations that will run in a modified mode until the ASRS is fully operational.
A separate presenter explained an amendment to Accenture’s contract to add 3,021 service hours at a blended rate of $269.88 per hour for ERP–WMS integration. If all hours are used, the amendment would add about $815,000 and increase the total contract to roughly $1.5 million. The presenter said the additional hours and extended term reflect the integration, configuration, testing and deployment requirements and that change orders were handled under the existing contract provisions.
Committee members asked no substantive follow‑ups and the items proceeded as presented.
