The Whitemarsh Board of Supervisors voted to approve a resolution to dissolve the Veterans Monument Foundation of Whitemarsh and to accept transfer of the foundation’s remaining funds and maintenance responsibility for the monument.
Chair Atoll introduced representatives Sarah Erlbaum and Eileen Baer from the foundation. Sarah Erlbaum told the board the foundation has approximately $100,000 earmarked for monument work, including the planned installation of a bell and for ongoing maintenance and repair needs. She described the organization’s 70‑year history of volunteer service supporting the monument. After public comment and brief board discussion, the board approved the resolution by roll call.
The board followed with a related resolution to establish a dedicated township bank account for future monument maintenance and improvements; that resolution was also approved by roll call.
