Trustee Smith moved the appropriation and Trustee Kelly seconded; a roll-call vote recorded Trustees Smith, Kelly, Asher, McSwain and Pro Tem Kaus as Yes. The purchase was authorized to secure fire hydrants and protect the town’s water infrastructure.
On technology, staff reported that Dell’s second quote did not include mobile units for police; options under consideration include installing mobile cards or purchasing new police laptops, with potential installation in April or May. Office-computer setup is ongoing; staff said two machines will be prepared imminently and that Town Clerk Cathy Payne’s computer requires replacement first.
Trustee Asher provided a grants update: the Master Water Plan Grant has been approved but the town has received no formal communication; a presentation to Weld County for the CDBG Senior Center request is scheduled for March 4. An initial CDBG review of the community center gym indicated a positive asbestos finding; the transcript records the gym result but does not include an immediate remediation plan.
