The Levittown Board of Education approved several administrative appointments at its July 8 meeting. Jennifer Messina moved to appoint Vanessa Esposito as district clerk for the 2026''2027 school year and Donna Cox as assistant district clerk; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
On the schedules and consent agenda the board confirmed two hires in special education: Dr. Robert Mueller as director of special education and Shannon Piccione as assistant director. The board described Mueller''s prior experience as assistant director in the district since 2023 and his earlier tenure as director for pupil services in Valley Streams; Piccione was noted to have served as an acting chairperson and as a special-education teacher since 2018.
Board members and staff congratulated both appointees and welcomed them to their new roles. The appointments were approved as part of routine personnel scheduling and were included in the consent agenda, which passed by voice vote.
