The King and Queen County Economic Development Authority voted March 5 to transfer $40,000 from its checking account into its investment account and unanimously approved its February 2026 meeting minutes.
Tina Ammons presented the February financial report and said "the checking account balance is increasing, crediting HUB33 for performing well." Chairman George Longest asked for recommendations for the surplus funds; the board recommended moving a portion into investments. Longest made the motion to transfer $40,000, Melinda Coleman seconded, and the motion passed unanimously with all members present voting yes.
The minutes from February 2026 were approved on a motion by Melinda Coleman and a second from Joseph McGuire. No members recorded abstentions or dissent on the two formal votes.
The board did not specify the target investment vehicle during the meeting. The next regular EDA meeting is scheduled for April 2, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
