The Olivette City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 13 to appoint Nate Mahoney to the city pension board for a term ending July 31, 2028, and to appoint Chassie Smith to fill an unexpired term ending July 31, 2026.
City staff said the council interviewed candidates at a recent work session and recommended the two appointments. "The staff is requesting a motion to appoint Mister Nate Mahoney to the pension board for the term that's ending 07/31/2028 and then appointing Miss Chassie Smith to the pension board to complete the unexpired term of Mike Rendenberg, ending 07/31/2026," staff told the council.
A council member moved the appointments; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call with all members voting yes (Council member Lewis; Council member Pashawn Hellman; Council member Solomanoff; Chairman Pro Tem Weil; Mayor Clark). Council staff confirmed that the appointees had been notified and a correction to a misspelled name in the record will be made.
The appointments place two new members on the pension board; staff said they have handled notifications and will update board records.
