Tory Woodcock, who identified himself as a Jerry Johns franchisee, introduced the application on behalf of Woodcock Adjustments and said the company plans to build a Jerry Johns store on the west side of the lot next year. A commissioner asked about a small irregular "nook" between Lot 1 and Lot 2; staff said they were not certain of the reason for that configuration.
Staff emphasized that the planning commission is advisory in Pacific and that its role is to provide recommendations to the governing board. As staff explained, items such as annexation and an associated planned development (PD) proceed to the governing body after the commission provides its recommendation.
The commission recorded a motion to recommend approval that passed 8-0. Commissioners and staff confirmed the item will appear before the governing board in about three weeks for final action.
The planning body also scheduled a workshop to address outstanding technical questions related to the proposal.
