Selectmen raised concerns that hiring a local firm might deter employees from using HR services because of confidentiality and proximity; others said professional standards should mitigate that risk. Board members emphasized the importance of municipal HR experience and asked that written contracts and detailed scopes of service be obtained before making a decision. The board continued the discussion to the meeting on June 29.
