Committee member (S2) urged adding "a strong safety culture" to that list, citing recent concerns. S2 said, "a very strong safety culture needs to be added to that list." Presenter (S3) and other participants discussed scheduling and logistics: an in-service covering active-shooter response and broader safety-culture topics is planned for Aug. 29 and a transportation/CPR training for staff is scheduled to start July 10.
Chair (S1) read a draft mission-and-vision statement that the transcript recorded as referring to "Corona Public Schools." For clarity and official records, the district is identified as CORONA MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS. The Chair read a passage describing a mission "to combine agriculture education with technology literacy, preparing rural students for success in both traditional and emerging industries while honoring their connection to the land." Board members agreed to refine the mission and to use surveys and a pre-July work session to gather community input.
