At the Oct. 21 meeting the Tioga City Commission took routine personnel and administrative actions, reappointing a board member, approving a staff raise and adopting a multi-item consent agenda.
Commissioner Steven Dye moved to reappoint Jeff Moberg to a two-year term on the R&T Board; Commissioner Jaden Iverson seconded the motion and the roll call as recorded lists Ayes: Iverson, Dye. Moberg had asked to be reappointed for another two-year term.
The commission approved a raise and promotion recommendation for Shanelle Ramsey following completion of a 90-day introductory period, increasing her pay from $19.40 to $20.00 per hour. Commissioner Jaden Iverson moved to approve the raise and promotion; Commissioner Steven Dye seconded and the roll call is recorded as Ayes: Iverson, Dye.
The consent agenda bundled several items — local charity permit applications for Dakota Storm Wrestling (11/02/24) and the Tioga Historical Society (03/20/25), three special liquor licenses for FTT Inc. DBA Model Tavern (11/09/24, 12/10/24, 12/20/24), pledge holdings for Bank of Tioga as of 09/25/24, and financials for September 2024 — and the commission approved the consent package (motion Iverson; second Dye; roll call recorded as Ayes: Iverson, Dye).
The minutes record the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.; the adjournment entry lists the motion as moved by Jessica Sandberg and seconded by Jaden Iverson with a roll call of Ayes: Iverson, Sandberg, Dye. The minutes also list Sandberg as absent in the attendance section, which is an inconsistency in the recorded minutes.
Ronica Pederson attested the minutes as Tioga Interim City Auditor. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Tioga City Hall.
